At last, after years of scribbling, I've finally settled on an aesthetic for the aliens structures. This is some kind of administrative building, complete with garage in the side.
I wanted something similar in principle to RDZ Industries' modular construction strategy, and yet visually very different. The aliens are a little more partial to curves than RDZ Industries, so the smooth bunker-like sweep came about. The deeply inset windows originally sported heavy shutters in the actual geometry, but I felt that they didn't add much and due to their positioning, they looked like cack from every angle.
The texture still doesn't really satisfy me, but it's good enough for now. I was originally considering a solid concrete render like rough-cast, but that makes things look very bare and doesn't really work at this low resolution; so I've plumped for some large panels to contrast the beige bricks of RDZ Industries.
